Our orchard features over fifty varieties of apples ranging from traditional classics to heirloom specialties to modern favorites. Apples ripen at different times throughout the fall season. A weekly trip to Riamede is necessary to catch each variety at its tree-ripened best.

Our apples run from very sweet (like Galas and Ginger Golds), to very tart (like Winesaps and Greenings), and everything in between! Since we grow so many varieties, there is usually an assortment of each available to suit your taste no matter when you visit. We always suggest picking something different - you may bring home a new favorite!

Mother Nature changes her apple ripening schedule each year and it is not possible for us to tell you exactly when each variety will be available. However, our telephone message will always tell you what is ripe and being picked on any day, or you can visit our handy live farm map, which has information down to the individual tree!
